Our Horses
Ken
Ken is a standardbred and former trotter - though it's clear why he didn't do well at the track - he never paces and has a great canter. Ken is the herd leader and is the only one who gets along with Pickles.
Pickles
Pickles is of unknown breed, though I would guess there is some Arab in there. He has a super smooth trot and canter. He also is a great jumper and is currently working on his cross country skills.
Denver
Denver is a skewbald stockhorse who clearly loves water! He is super cuddly and has a great comfortable trot and canter. He is still learning to jump, but always tries his best!
Marin
Marin is also an OTTB who was just too slow. He is a bit lazy and loves cuddles. Marin has become an expert and much loved lesson horse who is always patient and tries his best.
Atlas
Atlas is our most recent OTTB! He had a decent racing career but decided it wasn't for him. Atlas is the perfect package - standing at about 15.2h, he is a pocket rocket who has smooth gates and wants to please. He is currently learning to jump and taking it in stride.
Montrachet
'Che' is developing into a lovely event horse. He has natural uphill movement and is happy to jump most obstacles. He is still figuring out where all of his legs go, but we're making progress!
Mojo
'Mo' is the most recent OTTB to join the herd. He is super friendly and cuddly and started his life as a prize racehorse at a posh stud. Unfortunately he only wanted to go for about 200m and then decided it was too much effort!
Roséallday
Roséallday came off the track in May 2022 and is still adjusting to his new home. He had never been in a herd before and has learned the hard way not everyone wants to be his friend. He loves banana chips and walks in the lake.
